Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

Sorry I havent posted in awhile, but been very busy with orders the last 2 weeks. Today had a little time before Farmers Market to post, so I thought I'd share with you on some of the things I have made by requests, and other to keep up on stock as I've been selling them so fast lately!.
Here is a picture that was requested, she wanted a beach scene with poem of foot prints in the sand, and wanted me to use real sand and shells, I included quilling of a butterfly and flowers, she loved it!!!
13x13 frames run between $25.00- $40.00 very reasonable

I also printed the poem on velum, and added footprints in the sand.

Here are 2 pictures done for 2 Daughters, the poems are printed on vellum, and colored card stock behind it. Then I added flowers and butterflies, only thing about glueing on the vellum is it tends to bubble alittle, havent found away around that, but it still turnes out pretty good. These were done in a 8x10 frame, which I charge $12.oo-$15.00, which I think is very affordable.I had suggestion from a customer, that I should put price range on my blog, since I do hand out cards with blog, that way if there interested, they would know  around what it will cost them.

Here are some more quilled wooden boxes, they have been a big seller here.I came across some shaped like purses, there really cute!. It depends on what they have at the time and when I can get them as to what I quill on and charge, its been running anywhere from $5.00 -$8.00, depending on the size of box and how much quilling and painting involved.

And last but least, another good seller is paper beaded necklaces, made out of Scrapbooking paper, love how the designs come out, it took me 4 days to make 20 of them, get finger cramps every time, lol

So there you have it, this is what I've been busy with, for the last 2 weeks, hopefully I'll have some time soon to do a picture or 2. Hope you enjoyed what I've shared with you today, thanks for checking my work out!Have a good day!!!

These boxes are of cardboard that I got from my Daughter, she saves everything, she learned it from me,lol
I decided to decorate them with quilling, nice way to recycle!.
I quilled these boxes , and made 20 paper beaded necklaces with Scrapbooking paper and magazines in one week, there both good sellers here. But boy did I get finger cramps from making the beads, lol, I'm ready to do another framed picture, just dont know what it's going to be yet,lol
Well hope everyone is having a great day!!!!!!!!

Bambi and MOM

Well I think the quillers block has gone for now!. I had a great weekend, I sold some pictures and quilled gift boxes, gift tags, book marks, and paper bead necklaces.THere was a lady that I told and showed that there was an artical and picure of my quilling  in Quill America magazine, and that I won a ribbon on one of my pieces. She was so excited and asked me to sign my name to the pictures she bought, I was shocked and gladly signed them. She said she had heard of quilling but never knew what it really was, so I explained a little, next thing she asked if I'd sell her the quilling tool that I had displayed with picture of shapes and explanation about quilling, I ended up giving it to her, then she asked me if I would send her some simple patterns, as she lives out of town, so I will do that and give her some quilling sights to check out along with on line quilling stores. It was all exciting for me to share something I love and enjoy, who knows we may keep intouch never know. Well anyway here is my recent project of Bambi and MOM, hope you like!!

Panda with flowers, and butterflies

I made this cute Panda, last year, my Daughter fell in love with it. I got the pattern from (Decorative Quilling book,by Trees Tra and Malinda Jonston). Malinda has some really nice quilling books and patterns. I added a flower to the panda since I thought it would be cute as a girl, enjoying the simple butterflies, and the flowers that I just made up, some fringed others punched with the petals curled. never can find paper that is long enough to fit the whole frame, so I made 3 sections, and took chop sticks and glued them to the seams where the papers met. Hope you like!!!!

flowers in a vase

I did this vase and flowers last year and entered it in arts and craft show in a small town near us,it won 3RD prize. The vase is quilled and used punches for the flowers

I just finished this one, Flowers are all quilled, still working on how to arrange flowers, as you can see there all formed into a circle. Real arrangements aren't, atleast I dont think so. Bet you cant guess what the planter is made with?, I'll let you know later on, for now you'll have to guess, lol
Happy Quilling!!!

Name with flowers

This was another request, they wanted there last name with a lot of flowers and Dragon flies. I used colors that will match her living room decor. I also used color chalk lightly on the Dragon flies so they would stand out a little more, since they kinda blend with the back ground. The letters were done on a cricket, 2 sets were made 1 brown and 1 off white,to create a shadow. I'm getting the hang of it ,making flowers, just got to practice on arranging them to look good. I hope she likes it!

Under water scene

A friend had requested for a under water scene, here are the items that she wanted me to use,A under water picture that goes on back side of a fish tank, Little plastic plants, and scrapbooking shells. I of course added my quilled fish and little critters, and added sand across the bottom. She is hanging it in her bathroom along with other under water decorations. It is different, but was fun to make!

Flowering vine

I decided to try something different than what I normally make, and I used white pearls, round and oblong on the flowers. The center is actually shaped like a cross. WHat do you think, should I continue trying something new or stick to what I'm use to?, lol Have fun quilling!

Humming Bird

I made this last year as you can see in the center, it was Fall. My Hubby took a picture of our neigbors tree and said it would look good behind the Humming Bird and Bird House and he was right. The pattern on the flowers came from the book "A Guide To Quilling Flowers" By Helen Walter . There are so many Beautiful flowers in the book. These are called Morrison and are summer-flowering shrub. It took a little time to make, but loved the out come of them!
Hope you like!.

Yellow Birdy

This one took me about a week to complete. I dont consider it being one of my better projects, but I think it would be cute for a childs room. I put tiny beads in center of flowers to give a little added touch for the flowers, it's kinda hard to see them in the picture. I was going to add rain drops, but thought it would be to much. Hope you like!
